Hello everyone!!
I hope y'all have had a happy new year and a good start to 2020! I know I sure have! It's going to be an amazing year!!
TRANSFERS
This week we had transfers and I am back in Richmond! I am serving in the Gayton ward with Sister Robinson! We are both new to the area and have had a blast figuring everything out! This ward is amazing!! They are so loving and so willing to help us in anyway that we can! I already love it here! We have met some amazing people and are teaching some really cool people! Sister Robinson is such a cutie! She's been out for a year and is such a hard worker!! It's going to be an amazing transfer!!
MLC
We had mission leadership council this week! It was amazing as always!! It's always so uplifting and I always leave with an increased desire to do all that I can to strengthen the people around me. Something President Droubay said was, "We need to not just talk about it, we need to be about it" That really hit me. So many times we can make a goal and talk about it and encourage each other but until we get out and do the work nothing will happen!! If you have something you want to work on don't just talk about it, but be about it!!!
HEAVENLY FATHERS LOVE
Throughout my mission I have continually felt Heavenly Fathers love so much for me and the people around me. Our first day in Gayton we had a lesson with lady named Regine. She is such a special person! She was being taught by the Sisters a while back but recently her husband passed away from cancer. We went over and taught her about the Plan of Salvation. The Spirit was so strong as we helped her understand that she will be able to see him again and that he is okay. I'm so grateful for the love that Heavenly Father has for each of us!
SPIRITUAL THOUGHT
At MLC this week we were talking about what we can do to help other missionaries reach their potential. Someone made a comment and said, "Inspire others through your inadequacies, not by trying to be perfect". I've gained a strong testimony of that! The last few transfers I've been "real" with the missionaries I go on exchanges with. I've haven't tried to put on a perfect face but have acknowledged my shortcomings and shared my testimony of the Atonement. It's been amazing to create deeper relationships with so many of the Sisters! They have helped me to fully rely on the Savior!! Remember that perfection is pending! We aren't expected to be perfect while we are here on this earth. Do the best you can, strive to improve everyday, but realize we will all fall short and that's okay! It's part of the plan!!
I love y'all! I hope you have a very happy new year!!
