I hope y'all have had a wonderful week! This week we got transfer calls and I will be leaving VA beach for my last transfer! I have absolutely loved serving here! The Tidewater YSA branch has been so much fun and I have learned so much from everyone's testimony! The people here have truly changed my life! Serving in a young single adult branch has been so rewarding and has helped me learn to share the gospel in a more normal and natural way. I've also loved serving with Sister Grover! She is an incredible missionary and has been there for me 100% of the time! I have learned so much from her! I'm going to miss serving with her! It's so bitter sweet thinking about starting my last transfer this week!
With the new year upon us I have been reflecting on my experiences and testimony I have gained this past year! It's been so incredible to be able to serve the Lord every single day of 2019. It has truly been the most amazing year of my life! The lessons I've learned, the people I've met and the testimony I have gained is something that I will forever be grateful for! I have seen people change their lives, go through trials, repent, forgive, serve and most importantly use the Atonement! I've seen the Atonement change people's lives and change my life in so many ways! I know that my Savior Jesus Christ knows and loves us with an infinite amount of love and there is nothing we can do to take that love away. I know that Heavenly Father has a perfect plan for each of us and places people in our lives for a reason. Each of my companions and all the people I've met here in Virginia have changed my life and taught me so much about what Christlike service is. I'm so grateful for everyone I've had the opportunity to get to know this year! The joy that I feel serving the Lord is something that I truly can't describe. It's not easy and at times I have felt very alone. But I have come to know in a very real and personal way that this church is true! When we keep the commandments and live the gospel to the best of our ability the Lord has so many blessings for us. We are meant to have joy! Heavenly Father always keeps his promises and he is in the small details of our life!! 2019 is a year I will never forget and a year that has changed my life for the better!
I'm excited to see what blessings the Lord has in store for 2020!! As I've been thinking thinking about goals I can set and things I want to accomplish in the upcoming year I have realized the importance of having a vision for your life.
"Over the years, I have observed that those who accomplish the most in this world are those with a vision for their lives, with goals to keep them focused on their vision and tactical plans for how to achieve them. Knowing where you are going and how you expect to get there can bring meaning, purpose, and accomplishment to life."
-M. Russell Ballard
I love y'all and hope you have a happy new year!🎉
