Hello everyone!
Weeks just keep going by faster and faster!! I can't believe it's already December! It's definitely the most wonderful time of the year!!
THANKSGIVING
I hope y'all had a very Happy Thanksgiving! I'm so grateful for each of you and the love and support you give me!! We had a good Thanksgiving over here on the beach! We had dinner with the Branch President and his family. They are awesome! And we also went and served Thanksgiving dinner to Veteran's. It was a lot of fun and we met some amazing people! We even met a girl that is YSA aged and interested in learning more! It was definitely a tender mercy to meet her!!
JESSICA IS AMAZING
We are teaching a girl names Jessica and WOW she is so prepared for the gospel! She loved the Book of Mormon and reads it everyday! She's come to church the last 2 weeks and even fasted yesterday. She is so amazing! She has some family friends in the Bayview ward so we had a lesson at their house this week! We taught the plan of Salvation and the Spirit was so strong! She made so many comments about how this just makes sense!! During this lesson I really felt the Spirit working through me to help Jessica understand that this gospel is TRUE! It was a lesson I will never forget!!
BLACK FRIDAY FINDING
On black Friday we walked around the mall for a while and met so many cool people! It was a lot of fun! We met a guy named Chris and he seemed super excited to read from the Book of Mormon! He texted us yesterday and said he's been reading a little bit of it! We met a few other really cool people!
SPIRITUAL THOUGHT
This week I've been studying 3 Nephi 11. Every time I read this chapter I feel Christ's love so strong!! I was reading in the institute manual and came across this quote that I loved:
"When the resurrected Lord appeared to the Nephites, He invited them to feel the wounds in His hands and feet and side so that they could witness His Resurrection (3 Nephi 11:14). Elder Jeffrey R. Holland taught that Jesus Christ’s mortal wounds are tokens of His sacrifice:
“However dim our days may seem, they have been a lot darker for the Savior of the world. As a reminder of those days, Jesus has chosen, even in a resurrected, otherwise perfected body, to retain for the benefit of His disciples the wounds in His hands and in His feet and in His side—signs, if you will, that painful things happen even to the pure and the perfect; signs, if you will, that pain in this world is not evidence that God doesn’t love you; signs, if you will, that problems pass and happiness can be ours. Remind others that it is the wounded Christ who is the Captain of our souls, He who yet bears the scars of our forgiveness, the lesions of His love and humility, the torn flesh of obedience and sacrifice."
Jesus Christ LOVES YOU & KNOWS YOU!
I love y'all so much!! Have a great week!
