Blessings of Fasting!

Hello everyone!!

It's been a great week here in Virginia! This week I have felt so much gratitude that the Lord truly is in the details of this work!!

FAST SUNDAY MIRACLES

I've come to LOVE fast Sunday's! What an amazing blessing it is to sacrifice something so small and receive so many amazing blessings in return! Yesterday we had a few really amazing experiences as we were fasting. One of my favorites was with a guy named Eric. We met Eric a couple weeks ago on Old Dominion University. He is super cool and we had an appointment set up for last week, but we had to reschedule it. We hadn't been able to get in contact with him and had been praying that we would know how to contact him. Yesterday afternoon we were walking around ODU and sat down on a bench to send out some texts. Right as we were about to leave Eric walked out of the door behind us! We stopped and talked to him and ended up teaching him a whole lesson right then! I know the Lord was guiding us through our day to make sure that we ran into him right when we did! The lesson was awesome and he is really searching for the gospel in his life right now!

MELINDA'S TESTIMONY

A few weeks ago I talked about our friend Melinda, she is such a special person. We visit her every week and it's always an amazing experience! This week when we went over she asked if we would read her testimony in sacrament meeting. Melinda attends a different ward but she wanted her testimony read in the YSA branch as well. I had the wonderful opportunity of reading her testimony for her. That was one of the most amazing things I've had the opportunity to do. I can't even describe the Spirit that I felt as I read those words. I know that the Lord truly has a plan for each of us. He knows the trials that Melinda is going through and He knows that this needed to happen in her life for a reason! She strengthens my testimony every time i'm around her! I will attach a picture of her testimony so y'all can read it!

HALLOWCLEAN

I hope everyone had a happy Halloween!! We did Hallow-CLEAN! It's a competition between all the missionaries and we get points by cleaning different things in our apartment! We had a lot of fun and have a squeaky clean apartment now! ;)

EXCHANGES

This week we had exchanges with the Oceana Sisters. I was with my favorite MTC companion, Sister Ray! We had so much fun!! It was crazy to see how much both of us have changed and grown in the last 15 months! But also how much the same we still are haha! We had so much fun reminiscing on old times! She's an amazing missionary and I learned so much from her during our exchange!

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT

This week I've really been pondering this scripture from the Book of Mormon.

Moroni 7:13 But behold, that which is of God inviteth and enticeth to do good continually; wherefore, every thing which inviteth and enticeth to do good, and to love God, and to serve him, is inspired of God.

If it's GOOD, then it's from GOD! Simple as that! 💕
