Back to the Beach!

Hello everyone!!

Wowza it's been a crazy week!! So much has happened! :)

TRANSFERS

Transfers were on Wednesday. We packed up our stuff and drove down to Richmond. I said bye to my Beautiful companion Sister Thomas and said hello to my new wonderful companion Sister Grover!! We turned around and came right back to Virginia Beach!! We are serving in the Tidewater YSA branch and it's a blast! Sister Grover is an awesome missionary! She has already taught me so much and we are having a blast together! I'm grateful that I get to stay over on the beach for another transfer! The last few days have been crazy trying to figure out a new area together but we have seen so many tender mercies from the Lord. It has been so humbling to see the Lord guiding us and helping us in ways I can't even explain!

LAST DOOR

On our last night in Newtown we had a super awesome experience. It was the end of the night and we had just finished knocking on some doors and we were in our car driving home. Sister Thomas said there was a house that she felt like we needed to knock on so we turned the car around and went back! We ended up meeting a super cool man who is so prepared for the gospel! He came out and talked to us for a few minutes and talked about some hard things he has been going through. We were able to share our testimonies and give him a copy of the Book of Mormon. He said that he would love to have missionaries come by and that he is really interested in learning more! That was a testimony builder to me to always follow promptings no matter what!!

SUZY

Last night we were supposed to have a lesson with a guy named Christopher. We had Suzy, a member of the branch come with us. Sadly Christopher didn't show up. So instead we taught Suzy. This was one of the coolest lessons I've ever had. Suzy is an amazing person. She has had some hard experiences in her life that have really tested her faith. Hearing her story strengthened my testimony so much. The Gospel truly is the most important thing! As we were teaching her I also got a strong confirmation that I need to be here in this area at this time!

MLC

We had Mission leadership council this week! It was so good! Probably one of my favorite MLCs so far! I felt how important it is to minister to each of the missioanreis I serve around and help them to feel the Saviots love and the love of the mission President.

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT

One of my favorite scriptures is 1 Nephi 11:17 "And I said unto him: I know that he loveth his children; nevertheless, I do not know the meaning of all things."

I love this scripture because it helps me remember that we don't have to know the meaning of all things here on this earth. As long as we know that our Heavenly Father loves us we can ALWAYS move forward in faith knowing that He will take care of us and he will bless us with the things we need most!!
