"That was truly a miracle" -Sister Easley

Hello everyone!!

I hope everyone has had a wonderful week! It's been another crazy week here in Newtown!

MR.EASLEY
Okay everyone!! Mr.Easley is still my favorite person in the whole world and this week he said his first prayer ever!! This is a big deal for him!! The progress we have seen in him is very slow but the change in his countenance is the most amazing thing I've ever seen!! The Atonement is real and people really do change! Last week during our lesson he said that he "might" pray this week when we came over! We held him to that and when it was time for our closing prayer we sat there in silence and waited for him to say it! Sister Easley started whispering a prayer into his ear and he said it! His first prayer ever in his whole 78 years of life!!! It was such a special thing! As we were leaving Sister Easley gave us a hug and whispered, "that truly was a miracle". We have never seen her more happy!! God is good!!

EXCHANGES
This week we had two different exchanges! One with the Hermanas and one with the First Landing Sisters. I was with Hermana Williams and then with Sister Calvin. They are both INCREDIBLE missionaries and I learned so much from them and had a lot of fun! Both days we were able to see so many miracles and talk to a lot of really amazing people!! I'm so grateful for all the Sisters I get to serve around! And i'm so grateful for the opportunity I have to be a Sister training leader. I learn more from all the Sisters that I go on exchanges with then they learn from me! It truly is such a blessing to me!!

KIRAN
We have continued to teach our Indian friend that showed up to church a few weeks ago! He's seriously so cool!! We had a lesson with him this week and he shared his testimony about how God led him to us and to our church! As he was talking to us it made me reflect on how involved the Lord truly is in our lives. I know that all of you are in my life for a reason!! I hope each of you know what a difference you have made in my life! The Lord is so involved in the details of our life!!

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT
The Lord has been teaching me an important lesson the last few weeks, How to accept and be grateful for hard times! That is a hard thing to learn. Life has it's ups and downs and that's okay! It gives us experience and helps us become the person that God needs us to be. This week as I was studying about the Atonement I came across a scripture that really stood out to me. It's in Hebrews 5:8 "Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by things which he suffered;" I've really been pondering that verse. Christ suffered SO much for each of us. And because of that he was able to learn obedience. I think that can really apply to each of our lives. We go through hard things to learn! I'm so grateful for the blessings of the Atonement and for so many wonderful friends, family members and companions that are always there!! If you are struggling with anything, I urge you to get on your knees and let the Atonement work in your life! The Lord has already suffered for each of us, let Him help you!!

I love y'all! I hope each of you have a wonderful week!
