Carolyn's Baptism❤

Hello everyone!!

Another great week!! Time is just flying by here in Newtown! :)

CAROLYN'S BAPTISM

Our sweet friend Carolyn was baptized this week! It was one of the most spiritual baptisms I have ever gone to! Carolyn has some health challenges and is in a wheelchair. She had two of her friends go into the font to help her in and out. It was so special to see her commitment and determination to do whatever the Lord has asked of her. She came to know about the church when her two friends invited her to come with them one day. Since that day she hasn't missed a Sunday and she has gained a rock solid testimony of the gospel. At her baptism one of her friends said that the reason he was placed in her life was to make sure she made it home! It was such a special day. I'm so grateful that Carolyn is a part of my life! She has taught me so much and been such a wonderful example to me!

PAULA

We got a Bible referral this week for a lady named Paula. We gave her a call and she said she was in the hospital but wanted us to come deliver her Bible. She just had her leg amputated but Wow she has such a good attitude! Nothing is going to get her down! We gave her a Bible and a Book of Mormon and taught her the Restoration during our first visit with her. We also found out that her sister in California is taking lessons from the missionaries! They have been having discussions about what they are learning! It was such a miracle to meet Paula!

EXCHANGES

We had exchanges with the YSA Sisters this week! I was with Sister Mansfield! I love her so much! She teaches me so much every time I'm with her! She's been out about 3 months and is such a solid missionary! We did some fun service at the food bank! It was a blast! There is a sweet down syndrome girl that works there and we were instant bffs! ;)

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT

I read a talk this week called Cast Not Away Therefore Your Confidence” By Elder Jeffrey R. Holland. This talk was a reminder to me that Satan is real but God is ALWAYS stronger! When we listen to our Heavenly Father and learn how to do hard things we will see that life truly is beautiful!
