"A state of supreme Happiness"

Hello everyone!!

What a week!! Missions are the greatest!

HURRICANE DORIAN

Y'all have probably heard about it already, but there was a hurricane this week!! Nothing too crazy happened where we are, just some rain and wind! However, President decided that it would be best to have the other 4 sets of sisters in our zone come to our apartment for the night to be safe! That was so fun!! There were 10 of us that stayed between our apartment and the Suamataia's (Senior missionaries that live in our apartment complex). It was a party!!! The Suamataia's were awesome and fed us every meal! President wanted us to stay in most of the day for safety reasons so all 10 of us did a video lesson with someone we are teaching, we did studies all together, explored family history, and had some good chats about lessons we have learned on our missions! It was such a fun couple of days, all of us Sisters are so close and i'm grateful that I have each of them in my life!

ZONE CONFERENCE

We had zone conference this week and wowza, it was so good!! I learned so much and found so many things I want to apply into the work!! We focused a lot on the Book of Mormon! I'm so grateful for the Book of Mormon!! It truly is our most powerful tool in conversion. I've seen it change so many lives!

ALSO, we got bikes!!! AHHHHH I'm so grateful, I love bikes!!!

QUESTIONS OF THE SOUL

This week we went to mutual and helped the youth with missionary work. We have some cute pass along cards with different questions like: Is there a God? How can I find lasting happiness, How does God answer my prayers, etc. etc. We talked to the youth and asked them if they have any friends that might have those same questions. They all took a card and we helped them find scripture references to answer the questions! It was so fun and all the kids were so excited to give them to their friends. One girl even asked if she could have a copy of the Book of Mormon to give her friend. We gave her one and a few days later she told us that she gave it to her friend and her friend said she would read it! It made us so happy to see her so excited about sharing the gospel!

BOOK OF MORMON REFERRAL

Okay, here in Norfolk we get so many Bible/Book of Mormon referrals! It is such a blessing! 2 of our recent converts were found from a media Bible referral! This week we got a Book of Mormon referral so we stopped by to drop it off. it was for a guy named Anthony. He let us right in and we talked with him and his girlfriend for quite a while. Turns out that Anthony is actually a member. He was baptized when he was 13 and since then the rest of his family has been baptized. He hasn't been to church in years and decided that he needs to come back! We read some of the Book of Mormon with them while we were there and they both said they are going to start coming to church. And Anthony's girlfriend is super interested in learning more! It was such a miracle!

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT

This week I was studying in Matthew 5 about the Beatitudes! And do you want to know something cool?? The word "beatitude" means "a state of supreme happiness". I love that! living the principles that Christ has given us will bless us with happiness in this life and into the eternities. What a blessing!!
