Living the dream in Newtown!
Hello everyone!!❤
Wow missions are the best!! I am so grateful to be serving in Newtown with Sister Thomas! We are having so much fun and seeing SO many miracles!! This week between us and the Elders in our ward we were able to help 9 PEOPLE come to church yesterday!! We have seen the Lord's hand in so many ways this week! God is good!
INTERVIEWS
We had interviews with President Droubay this week! I love him! He is hilarious and so in tune with the Spirit! During my interview with him he reminded me that the Lord knows we can do and be more than we think we can. It was a good reminder to trust in the Lord and let Him mold us into the people he wants us to become.
EXCHANGES WITH PRINCESS ANNE
Exchange #1 of the week was with the Princess Anne Sisters! They are so cute! I was with Sister West and she is such an amazing missionary! I learned so much from her. We saw so many miracles together and got 5 return appointments that day! We even met a lady who came to our church for 2 years and took all the missionary discussions just never got baptized! So cool!
EXCHANGES WITH PEMBROKE
Exchange #2 of the week was with the Pembroke Hermanas. I was with Hermana William's. She is the cutest person and we had such a good day together. All of the lessons were in Spanish which was fun! It's amazing how you can feel the Spirit even when you don't understand the language! It was such a fun day!
MCDONALD'S AND MR.WILLY
We have been walking a lot recently and have seen so many miracles from it! It's been awesome! The other day we were walking and had to use the restroom so we went over to McDonald's! As we were walking out we said hello to a man and ended up talking to him for 30 minutes! His name is Mr. Willey and he is so nice! He is a Mason so he told us all about that and we told him about our religion. We ended up teaching him part of the restoration and he invited us to go over and teach him more sometime. It was such a cool miracle to meet him!!
PART MEMBER FAMILIES
We are working with so many part member families and it's the best! This week we had a really cool experience with Mr. Easley. He isn't a member and he's pretty against having the missionaries over and he has no desire to change. We felt like we needed to go visit them this week so we stopped by and he wasn't too interested to talk to us. But we kept talking with him and by the end of the conversation we had shared a message with him and he agreed to let us come back next week to share another message! It was so cool to see his heart soften even in the short few minutes we were there!
SPIRITUAL THOUGHT
This week I've really been pondering the scripture 1 Nephi 3:7. I have always loved this scripture and shared it with a lot of people throughout my mission. This week we were teaching a lady about the Word of Wisdom. When we shared this scripture with her it really hit me. The Lord asks us to do hard things. He knows that they will help us become better people. But the amazing thing is that he never ask us to do something that we can't accomplish with his help. We can do anything that the Lord asks of us BECAUSE of Him and his help in our lives.
I love y'all! I love my mission! Keep smiling and have the best week!
