Hello from Virginia Beach!☀️

Hello wonderful friends and family!

What. A. Week. Honestly this has been one of the craziest weeks ever Haha! But it's been a blast and we have seen loads of miracles!!

TRANSFERS
We had transfers this week and I'm over in the Virginia Beach zone now!! I love it over here! I'm in the Newtown Ward serving with Sister Thomas! I feel like I've known her my whole life! We work so well together and have so much fun! I already love her so much!! And this ward is so awesome! I'm so grateful to be serving here!! This morning a senior missionary took us on a little adventure. We went to Virginia Beach, did some shopping, went to the Cape Henry lighthouses and went to lunch at a super yummy little place!! Wow life is so good!!

BRIANNAHS BAPTISM
We had a baptism on Saturday for a cute girl named Briannah. She's 13 and she's such a cutie! There was such a special spirit at the baptism. I'm so grateful I got to be a part of it.
*Funny story*
So, we had to get to the church early for some meeting so we just filled the font up before. We figured it would cool down since it would be full for a few hours so we filled it up with hot water. When it was time for Briannah to get baptized they couldn't get in the water because it was too hot! We freaked out.... Sister Thomas just looked at me and said "I'm getting in to drain it....close the curtain" I wasn't thinking and was like "oh yeah, good idea!". So I went out and closed the curtain thing and she was ready to get in and pull the drain😂 Luckily the Bishop stopped us Haha! We just turned the cold water on high and mixed it around until it was cool enough to go in. Then after the baptism we went back in the bathroom to help Briannah get ready. She was wearing a dress and someone sewed up the bottom so it wouldn't bubble up when she got baptized! But we couldn't get it undone. So Sister Thomas  and I were frantically trying to pull it open! Luckily someone had scissors so we were okay! It was hilarious! Moral of the story....don't fill the font with hot water.

CAFE RIO
We have a Cafe Rio on this side of the mission so on Friday after MLC we stopped there for dinner! As we were getting ready to pay a lady ran up and payed for our meal and bought us a $25 gift card! It was so sweet of her! After we ate we went over to talk to her and her daughters. They were talking about how they want to serve missions one day because they always love seeing Sister missionaries around! It was so fun to talk to them a little bit about how great missions are!!

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT
One of my very favorite scriptures is
Alma 26:12 "Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things; yea, behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever"
I've really been pondering this scripture this week! With God we truly can do anything! Something that my last companion, Sister Nelson taught me is how to be confident in God. We aren't expected to be perfect. We just need to do our best and rely on the Lord for strength. If you're struggling just remember that with God we can be confident and truly get through anything!

I love y'all so much!! Missions are the best!! Have a great week!!
