Bye Bye Glen Allen...:'(
Hello lovely people!!
Wow missions are just the best! I'm so happy! We had transfers calls this week and got some pretty crazy news!! Sadly, they will be closing the Glen Allen A area so both Sister Nelson and I are getting transferred! Sister Nelson will be training a new missionary and I will continue serving as a STL! I have loved serving in Glen Allen and loved serving with Sister Nelson. She's become one of my greatest friends and I'm going to miss serving with her! This transfer has been full of miracles!! I have seen a lot of growth in myself and I'm grateful for the lessons I have learned in this area!
MOTORCYCLE GUY!
Okay, we saw a way cool miracle this week!! We were out tracting one day and a guy on a motorcycle drove by. We waved and went on our way. A few minutes later he turned around and came back up to us and said, "are y'all the Mormons?". We told him yes we are the missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints! He opened up to us about a lot of trials he has been going through lately. He said the reason that he turned around is because he wants to start meeting with us and feels like something is missing in his life. As he was leaving he said, "Come back tomorrow with a Bible and a Book of Mormon". It was so cool that he felt prompted to come back and talk with us and he acted on that!
MONICA DEANE
Monica Deane is the sweetest lady! She is a less active in our ward and I just love her so much! This whole transfer we have been meeting with her every week and calling her every night! She us working on quitting smoking and she has made so much progress since we have been meeting with her! We have been really trying to help her strengthen her faith in Christ and feel Gods love for her. Throughout the transfer we have been sharing different quotes from the Infinite Atonement with her and thanks to my parents we were able to give her a copy of the Infinite Atonement this week! We called her and read the chapter titled "Infinite in Love" with her. The Spirit was so strong as she expressed how she knows that God loves her despite all of her shortcomings. I love her so much!
SPIRITUAL THOUGHT
Boyd K. Packer said this about recognizing the spirit, "Put difficult questions in the back of your minds and go about your lives. Ponder and pray quietly and persistently about them. The answer may not come as a lightning bolt. It may come as a little inspiration here and a little there, ‘line upon line, precept upon precept’ (D&C 98:12). Some answers will come from reading the scriptures, some from hearing speakers. And, occasionally, when it is important, some will come by very direct and powerful inspiration. The promptings will be clear and unmistakable”
I love that!! Answers always come in God's timing! I can promise you that He us aware of your circumstances and He knows exactly what you need and when you need it!
I love y'all so much!! Thanks for all the Love and support!! Have a great week and as Sister Nelson always reminds me, "SMILE AND BE KIND". Love you!!!!
