Opening a new area...on a bike...as a STL!!!

Hello Wonderful friends and family!

Let me just tell ya...missions are the BEST!! :) This week we got transfer news, sadly I will be leaving Harrisonburg! I love this place and have seen so much growth in myself and the ward as i've been serving here! We got some pretty exciting news that I will be opening a new area. AND I will be on bike. AND I got called to be a Sister Training Leader! I'm really excited for this new adventure and for the opportunity to be involved in the leadership of the mission!

NO MILES=MIRACLES
We ran out of miles this week so the last few days we have been walking everywhere! It has been awesome and we have seen SO many amazing miracles! The other day we were walking to an appointment and met a man out walking. We stopped to talk to him and he was so excited to talk to us. He said he has never talked to missionaries before but he has heard about the Book of Mormon and is really interested in it. We ended up teaching him the whole Restoration right there on the street and giving him a copy of the Book of Mormon. He is actually moving out to Utah in a couple weeks and he said he would love to talk to the missionaries there! It was such a miracle to find him!

6 BOOKS OF MORMON
This week we had a goal one day to hand out 5 copies of the Book of Mormon. Our day didn't go quite as planned and by the time it was about 8:15 that night we had only handed out 3! But we were determined to reach our goal! So we said a prayer and were prompted to go to a different street. We went there and ended up handing out 3 more copies in our last 20 minutes of the night. The Lord hears our prayers and he will help us with our worthy goals!

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT
Something that I have been working on this transfer is being BOLD but LOVING! Sometimes it can be hard to find the balance with these two attributes. As i've studies more about these topics i've come to realize that boldness isn't an absence of love, but boldness is the essence of love. When we love people and truly want to help them we should have the confidence to be bold. To invite people to repent, to become better and to make changes in their life. When we help people reach thier potential as Children of God they will truly feel the LOVE that we have for them!

I love you all so much! I love Harrisonburg and i'm beyond grateful for the experiences i've had here and the people that i've met! And i'm so grateful that i've been able to serve with Sister Schouten! She's an amazing missionary and has become one of my best friends! This transfer I have truly seen that as I do my best, my very best that I can leave the rest up to the Lord and He will help us. Life is so good!
