Nothing but Smiles!
Hello wonderful friends and family!
It has been such a great week! Wow. I just love missionary work! There really is nothing better! This week we have seen SO MANY MIRACLES!!! The Lord truly is preparing people and i'm so grateful for all the amazing people I've been able to meet. This week as a mission we had a goal for each area to find 2 new people to teach which would add up to 156 new people! We found EXACTLY 156 new people as a mission this week! The Lord hears our prayers and helps us with our righteous desires!
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY
I hope everyone had a very happy Father's day! I am so grateful for my amazing dad! He is the greatest example to me and is the most Christ-like person I know! He is so loving and supportive of everything I do! My parents are on an Alaskan Cruise this week but I still got to video call them yesterday! :)
EXCHANGES
We had exchanges this week! This was my first exchange as a Sister Training Leader! I was with Hermana Roque. She is such a cutie! We had a blast together and saw so many miracles! We were supposed to have a lesson with someone they are teaching but she had to cancel so we decided to heart attack her door instead. We biked over to Walmart and got some paper and scissors but once we got to the lady's house we realized we didn't have any tape...whoops! But we made it work and put the heart along the sides of the door! That was fun! We gave out 3 copies of the Book of Mormon, had a little fall on the bikes...and had some good laughs! The coolest thing that happened was when we were standing in line to get some dinner we complimented the lady in front of us and started talking to her. Turns out that she has been to our church before and actually has a lot of friends that are members. We had a really great conversation and she said that she has been wanting to come back to our church. We gave her a Book of Mormon and got her number. #MIRACLES!
LITTLE BOYS
Here is just one of the many miracles we saw this week! We were standing outside of an apartment complex talking to the zone leaders on the phone. A cute little 10 year old boy came up to us and asked us what we were doing. We told him that we share the most important message in the whole world. His eyes got really big! We kept talking to him a little bit about Jesus Christ and over the next few minutes 2 of his cute little friends came over! We asked them if their families would be interested in hearing the message we share. They said yes and one of them went to got get his mom. We showed them the Because of Him video and asked them to pay attention to how they feel. After they watched it this was their responses: "I feel deep", "It reminded me of something...the movie called God is not dead" and the other one said "It just made me feel happy inside". They asked us to look the video up on their tablets so they could watch it again haha! Now one of the little boys family is being taught by the Spanish missionaries, We are getting a Portuguese Book of Mormon for the other family and we gave the other little boy an English Book of Mormon. Little children have such a special spirit about them!
SPIRITUAL THOUGHT
Yesterday during the Sacrament I was thinking about the Scriptures in Matthew 26 that explain when Christ was going into the Garden of Gethsemane. He asked his disciples to sit and watch while he went to pray. When he came back, they were asleep. The Lord then said "Could ye not watch with me one hour?". That really stuck out to me. The Lord has asked us to give up an hour of the week to go Partake of the Sacrament and focus our thoughts on Him. How often do you let your mind wander during the Sacrament? How serious do you take it? Are your thoughts truly focused on the Savior? I did a personal evaluation about how seriously I take the Sacrament each week. The Lord has asked us to give him an hour to "watch with Him". It truly is the most important hour of the week.
I love y'all so very much! Thanks for all the Love and support! Have the best week ever and Keep SMILING!
