National Day of Prayer!

Hello lovely people!

I hope ya'll have had a fantastic week! :) We have had a great week in beautiful Harrisonburg! This week has been full of MIRACLES!!!! Missionary work is seriously the best!

NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER
Thursday was National day of prayer. We went up to James Madison University with the YSA sisters (Sister Mortimer and Sister Nielsen) and did a fun little blitz! We just walked around campus and asked people if we could say a prayer for them! It was finals this week so everyone said they could use an extra prayer haha ;) IT WAS SO FUN! We met some really cool people and heard some really awesome stories! Everyone was so grateful that we were willing to take the time to pray for them individually! Sister Schouten and I went and walked around Downtown Harrisonburg that evening and found some more cool people to pray for! Prayer is powerful! :)

ZONE CONFERENCE
We had Zone Conference this week! I always love zone conference! We had some trainings on obedience, sacrament meeting attendance, family history and we learned how to change a tire on a car and a bike! It was a really fun day and I learned so many ways I can improve myself as a missionary! I'm so grateful for President and Sister Smith! They go home in July and i'm sure going to miss them! They have both made a huge impact on my life and i'm forever grateful for them!

JUDY AND A CHURCH TOUR
We had the COOLEST lesson with Judy this week! We did it at the church and we had a recent convert (Christina Calhoun) join us! We started off by just walking her around the church and telling her what all the different rooms were and where she would be going. Then we went and sat in front of the baptismal font for a little while. We taught her more about baptism and the importance of it. Christina also shared her experience from her baptism. Wow that was powerful! The Spirit filled the whole room and you could feel the Love that the Savior had for her! After this we went into the Chapel and sat in front of the Sacrament table. We talked about the Sacrament and the Atonement and all bore our testimonies of the Savior. We were all in tears. It's such an amazing thing to help someone realized the power of the Atonement in their life! This was one of my very favorite lessons on my mission! The church is true, my friends!

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT
"Do not let who you used to be stop you from being who you can become." -Al Carraway

This is one of my very favorite quotes and I've been thinking a lot about it lately! I think a lot of times in life we can get caught up in the idea that we have gone too far or that we can't correct the wrongs we had made! That idea comes from the adversary. This gospel is a gospel of PROGRESSION.  Nobody is perfect. We all need the Atonement in our lives to cleans us and allow up to become the person that God intends us to be. If you have something in life that is holding you back...LET IT GO! Move on, forgive yourself, forgive others and love those around you! "Life is to be enjoyed not just endured". Christ wants you to be happy and He has suffered so that you can! :)

I love ya'll so much and i'm beyond grateful for each of you! Have the best week ever! Keep smiling!
