"Jesus knocked on my door today"

Hello wonderful people!

Life is so good in Virginia!! This week we have seen loads and loads of MIRACLES!!!!❤ The Lord is in His vineyard. We have really seen His hand in the work this week. We met a super sweet lady this week and after we talked to her for a few minutes, gave her a copy of the Book of Mormon and attempted to set up a return appointment she said "Jesus knocked on my door today". I love being a representative of Jesus Christ and helping others feel the joy of the gospel! Here are just a few of the miracles we saw this week:

MIRACLE #1

We have the greatest Relief Society President up here in Harrisonburg! Every few weeks we go on visits with her and try to visit a bunch of less active sisters! This week as we were out visiting people with her we saw a really cool miracle! There is a lady named Darleen that we have been trying to get in contact with for weeks now! We stopped by her house and she wasn't there. But Sister Robertson remembered that she used to work at Good Will. So we decided to stop by and see if we could find her! And we did!! We had a really great conversation with her and she told us some really hard things that she has been going through lately. She said that she really wants to start coming back to church and would love to have us go share the lessons with her! :)

MIRACLE #2

OKAYYYY miracle number two is about a guy named Enzo! We were trying to find a less active member and knocked on what we thought was her door. Turns out that she moved a few months ago and a guy named Enzo moved in. He is actually a member! He hasn't been to church and years and we didn't have his records so there would have been no other way to find him. He said that he knows he needs to get back to church and us knocking on his door was a sign. He came to church yesterday and he is such a solid member! The Bishop is already working on getting him a calling! It was such a miracle to find him! (Side note: Barry, the deaf man that we found downtown also came to church yesterday! The Lord has been leading us to some pretty amazing people lately!)

MIRACLE #3

To be honest, finding has been rough the last few weeks! We aren't teaching anyone and we have been praying really hard that the Lord would lead us to someone who is prepared for the gospel. A few days ago we pulled up to the street we were planning to tract. As soon as we got out of our car a food delivery man pulled up to drop some food off. He got out of his car and said "Are you Mormons". We said yes, we are missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! He said that he went to our church once before and has been wanting to go back. We gave him a Book of Mormon and we have been in contact with him the last few days! The Lord will lead us where we need to be if we follow the Spirit!

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT

Yesterday I had the opportunity to give a talk in Sacrament meeting about developing Christlike attributes. I really enjoyed giving this talk! I learned so much about myself and how I can become more like the Savior. I love this quote by Elder Uchtdorf:

"To follow Christ is to become more like Him. It is to learn from His character. As spirit children of our Heavenly Father, we do have the potential to incorporate Christlike attributes into our life and character. The Savior invites us to learn His gospel by living His teachings. To follow Him is to apply correct principles and then witness for ourselves the blessings that follow. This process is very complex and very simple at the same time. Ancient and modern prophets described it with three words: “Keep the commandments”—nothing more, nothing less."

I love ya'll so much! I love Harrisonburg! I love Sister Schouten! I love being a missionary! And most of all I love my Savior! I hope ya'll have have a fantastic week and remember that life is so beautiful!
