HAPPY HALFWAY!!!

Hello Wonderful friends and family!

It's been another great week in the beautiful Harrisonburg! This week I hit 9 months! That means i'm halfway done with my mission! WHAT?! Time is going so fast! I'm excited to see all the miracles the Lord has in store for these next 9 months! :)

TRANSFERS
We had transfers this week and I had to say bye to the lovely Sister Daines! We had such a fun transfer together and i'm going to miss her!❤ My new companion is Sister Schouten! She's so cute! We are already getting along super well! She's from Centerville Utah and she's been out about 10 months! We have seen SO many miracles in the few days we have been together and i'm excited to serve with her this transfer! :)
SISTER LEIJA
We had such a cool miracle happen this week! So Sister Leija is a member in our ward who has been inactive for a really long time. She showed up at the church for General Conference out of the blue and asked us if we could go over and visit with her. We were finally able to make it over to visit with her this week! When she started talking to us she got really emotional.  She told us that Sister Schouten and I remind her so much of the first missionaries that ever taught her. She said that Sister Schouten looks just like one of them and I act just like the other one. She said she is taking this as a sign from God that she needs to start coming back to church! We had a great visit with her and she has such a strong testmony of the Gospel. She has a lot that she needs to work on in her life but she made the decison that it's time to change! She came to church yesterday for the first time in a really long time! The talks that were given were exactly what she needed to hear and she was truly glowing the whole time! She is an incredible lady!

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT
There is a quote by Hyrum Smith that says, "When you realize who you really are, you'll be disappointed you didn't try harder". So I want to ask you, who are we?
Well we are Children of a Loving Heavenly Father. He created each and every one of us and we have the Potential to become like Him one day! Lately i've been thinking a lot about the potential that we have. How do we reach that potential? As i've served my mission i've felt myself change. There have been some weaknesses that i've learned to be better at, some wounds that have been healed and my ability to love those around me has grown so much. But i'm still trying to figure it out. How do I become the person that God wants me to be? I still stumble over words, i'm not totally confident in myself and I struggle from time to time. But i've come to realize that that's not what the gospel is about. It's not supposed to make us feel inadequate but it's supposed to give us opportunities to grow and become better.
Growing is a process. It takes time, prayer, and learning to depend on the Lord. But I hope you all know that you have the potential to do so much good in the world. The Lord wants to help you make a beautiful life for yourself and reach your own POTENTIAL!

I hope ya'll have a great week! Thanks so much for all the love and support! Love you!!
