ONCE a chick in hominy, ALWAYS a chick in hominy!

Hello wonderful friends and family!

What a week it has been! Transfers are this Wednesday and we found out that both Sister Georgeson and I will be leaving Chickahominy! They will be putting Elders in this area next transfer! We were super surprised at that news! But i'm thankful the Lord is in His Vineyard. He knows what each area needs and what each missionary needs! I'm so grateful for the 3 months I was able to spend in Chickahominy! I've met some amazing people here and have so many incredible memories! And I can honestly say that I have given everything I can to the work in this area! I'm so grateful for all the miracles i've seen here and the growth I have seen in myself! God is good!

NEVER WASTE AN OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE

We had a cool miracle this week! A member was picking us up at our apartment to go to a lesson with us and she was running quite a bit late. We were stressed and when she got there we hurried out to her car. But we noticed a lady off in the parking lot frantically trying to find someone to help her. We really felt like we needed to help her! She was looking for someone to jump her car. We pulled our car over and helped her and she was so grateful! I was prompted to give her a Book of Mormon and share my testimony of it with her! She was so grateful and said she would read some of it and give us a call! It was a cool miracle and a great testimony builder that the Lord puts people in our path! As long as we are in tune with the spirit and striving to be aware of those around us we will find amazing opportunities to serve!

OPEN YOUR MOUTH

This week I gained such a strong testimony that as we open our mouth the Lord will fill it! We took a cute older couple to a lesson with us this week and it was such a powerful lesson! The brother we took with us has had a major stroke and he has a hard time speaking and remembering things. He was nervous to come to a lesson seeing that he struggles to speak. But he has such a strong desire to share his testimony! As he started sharing his testimony of the gospel he was able to speak so clearly! It was as if he had no trouble speaking at all! The spirit filled the room and we could feel the passion that he has for the gospel! When we got back in the car he struggled to speak again but said he knew he was blessed for opening his mouth! It was such an amazing miracle!

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT

One of the biggest things I learned from the Chickahominy ward is how to have Christlike love for EVERYONE! This ward has some of the most loving people, they are always looking for ways to help and serve each other. They are always there to encourage and love anyone who may be struggling! The people in this ward honestly changed my life! I will always be grateful for the relationships I have made with the people here! I've loved taking so many members out with us each week and seeing them share their testimony of the gospel with others! They have so much LOVE!

I have seen this quote become a reality in my life! As I have strived to love everyone no matter quirks or differences they may have I have felt so much more joy in my own life!
