Transfers!!

Hello Hello Hello!!

It's been another great week in Chickahominy!! This week was a INSANE!! From getting a new companion, having our toilet and heater break, getting lost on the freeway, having someone tell us we "better get out of the hood before we get shot", meeting some of the coolest people ever, and SO many miracles! This week had lots of ups and downs but I've learned to just keep smiling and laughing and the Lord will take care of the rest!

TRANSFERS
Transfers are always so bitter sweet. Saying "see ya later" to my best pal Sister Benson was rough! I'm so so grateful for the time I had to be companions with her and the life-long friendship we created! ❤ She got transferred up the the Aquia ward and I couldn't be more excited for her to meet all the amazing people up there! :) My new companion is the cutest Sister Georgeson! We came out together and we were roommates in the MTC! She's great! She's so loving, kind and just a solid missionary! I've already learned a lot from her in the last few days! I can tell it will be a great transfer!

MIGUEL
We had the coolest miracle happen this week! We got a call from the Downtown Elders and they told us about this guy named Miguel that lives in our area! They found him while on splits with a member of the YSA branch. Miguel is really struggling with life and said he would be willing to have us go by and teach him. The Elders lined up for the member of the YSA branch to come with us and we brought another member of our ward! We had one of the coolest lessons ever with him! We shared the restoration and the spirit was so strong! After I recited the first vision Miguel just sat and looked at me for a few seconds. He then asked me why I decided to share that with him. We explained why it is so important to the Gospel. He said that he felt like that story was just for him and that he can really connect with Joseph Smith. The member from the YSA branch was able to share his amazing testimony about Joseph Smith and the restoration of the gospel! It was a very spiritual experience and Miguel is so excited to learn more! He was excited to come to church on Sunday and we even got him a ride with some members of our ward. Sadly he got called into work early Sunday morning. But he should be there next week!

SISTER SMITH
Our mission presidents wife (Sister Smith) called us up this week and asked if she could go out finding with us for a few hours! We had a super packed day but we were able to go out tracting with her for about 2 hours! It was so much fun! Sister Smith is the best missionary out there! She talks to everyone and really does everything she can to help people understand the importance of following Jesus Christ! We met some awesome people, gave out a few Books of Mormon and we were able to get some great advice from Sister Smith!

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT
"The Savior's LOVE was not a love for the righteous only; it was not an abstract LOVE; nor was it demonstrated by one dramatic sacrificial act and nothing more. To the contrary, it was a DAY-BY-DAY, HOUR-BY-HOUR, even MOMENT-BY-MOMENT LOVE! It was LOVE that stretched from premortality into eternity. It was a LOVE that thoughtfully prepared a little fire of coals with fish and bread for hungry and tired disciples as they emerged from an exhausting night of fishing on the Sea of Galilee. It was a LOVE that blessed little children, healed the sick, and offered hope to the hopeless. It was a LOVE that reached out to every individual as he or she was and lifted them to higher ground. LOVE was exhibited in every conscious, waking moment of his moral life. LOVE flowed from every pore, every thought, every act. As naturally and regularly as we seek air, he sought to bless. Again and again in those moments of physical exhaustion and pressing "agendas" he was there for the emulation of acts of LOVE, capped by the most significant of all- his atoning sacrifice. Peter summed up his life in this simple but expressive phrase: He went about doing good" -Tad R. Callister 💙

The Savior truly loves us more than we can even comprehend. He wants us to feel that love in our lives and know of a surety that He is always there for us. There is nothing we can do that will take that love away, it is simply always there. I know that the Savior cares so much about the details of our lives. He wants us to be happy and He wants what is best for us. Whatever you may be going through at this time I know that there is help and happiness as you turn to the Savior and allow his LOVE into your life!

I love y'all so very much and I hope you have the best week!!
