Hello Hello Hello!
Another great week in Chickahominy! Man I just love it here! The ward is great and we are teaching some amazing people! Missionary work is just the coolest! :)
SPIRITUAL THOUGHT
One of my favorite things about being a missionary is getting to know so many different people and hearing their stories. Everyone has trials, everyone is struggling with something and everyone needs the help of the Savior. This week we have met a few people who are struggling with some really hard things but have so much faith in Jesus Christ! This quote has brought me so much peace this week. "If we give our heart to God, if we love the Lord Jesus Christ, if we do the best we can to live the gospel, then tomorrow—and every other day—is ultimately going to be magnificent, even if we don’t always recognize it as such. Why? Because our Heavenly Father wants it to be! He wants to bless us. A rewarding, abundant, and eternal life is the very object of His merciful plan for His children! It is a plan predicated on the truth “that all things work together for good to them that love God.” So keep loving. Keep trying. Keep trusting. Keep believing. Keep growing. Heaven is cheering you on today, tomorrow, and forever" -Elder Holland. Never forget how much the Lord loves you and is literally "cheering you on" everyday!
EXCHANGES
We had exchanges this week and I was with Sister Keil! We had so much fun! I was in her district back in Stafford so it was really fun to be with her for the day! We did a lot of tracting, met some super cool people, decorated a door, had some good laughs and found out about the new change that we can call our families on P-days! We freaked out just a little bit haha! I learned so much from Sister Keil and she was able to help me with so many things!
SEMINARY
This week Sister Georgeson and I taught seminary! It was so much fun! We talked a lot about missionary work and did some fun role-plays with the kids! We let each of them take a Book of Mormon or a pamphlet and we challenged them to share it with someone in the next week! They all got super excited about missionary work and started getting ideas of ways they can share the gospel! We shared this quote with them: "You were sent to earth at this precise time, the most crucial time in the history of the world, to help gather Israel. There is nothing happening on this earth right now that is more important than that. There is nothing of greater consequence. Absolutely nothing. The gathering should mean everything to you. This is the mission for which you were sent to earth" -President Nelson. I absolutely love this quote, it shows the urgency and importance of gathering scattered Israel! Every member can be a missionary!
ALL DISTRICT COUNCIL
This week we had all district council on Valentines day! Sister Georgeson and I gave a training about "Virginia is for lovers". We talked a lot about desire and how our desire needs to come from love rather than fear or duty. We have to truly love the people that we serve! We shared the scripture Moroni 8:16 that talks about how perfect love casteth out all fear! It went really well and really helped me re-focus my service on LOVE!!!!
I love ya'll so much! Thanks for everything! Have a great week! 😊
