Another great week!!❤

Hello!

It's been another great week in Chickahominy! We have seen lots of small miracles this week! And we killed a mouse so I say it was a successful week!;)

THE RED DOOR

A couple nights ago we had about an hour left of our day and weren't sure what we should do. We planned to go tracting on this street but all the houses were pitch black and we just weren't feeling it. So we drove around for a few minutes then pulled off the side of the road to pray and see what we needed to do. After we said the prayer I knew exactly where we needed to go! I told Sister Benson that I saw this house with a red door a few streets back and that we needed to go knock on it! She was like YES I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT! The first time we drove past this door I didn't even know that she saw it. But we both felt like we needed to go back! We drove back to the house and knocked on the door but the man who lived there wasn't interested at all. We were a little confused but just walked to the next door and knocked on that one. We were on our way to walk back to the car but as we were walking a car pulled into the driveway of the house with the red door. We both stopped and turned around and went to talk to this guy! His name is Lamont and he is so cool! He just got home from work so he was tired but he said we could come back next week and talk to him more! Everything had to happen just like it did for us to meet Lamont! We know we were supposed to meet him!

TAY

Tay is so cool! The STLs found her last week when they did a blitz in our area! We went back this week for a lesson with her! She is awesome! She has strong faith in God and a strong desire to learn more about the "original" church. The lesson went so well and she was really engaged! She said she feels like this really is the true church and that the Book of Mormon is true! She told us that a few days before the STLs knocked on her door she was praying for help to know how she could strengthen her faith! There are no coincidences in the gospel, the Lord is so aware of what we need! We have another lesson with her this week, something great is going to happen with Tay!

ROAD TRIP TO TAPPAHANNOCK

We had district council and a blitz in the Tappahannock Elders area this week and it was so much fun! We had a few trainings and testimonies during District council! The focus was LOVE! If we don't truly love the people and desire their salvation we can't help them! When it comes down to it, we just need to love each other more and love ourselves a little more! We had a lot of fun on the blitz too! We were able to find a lot of people for the elders to start teaching and had a lot of great conversations with people! It was about an hour away so we had some good chats and listened to some good music driving there! Sister Benson is a great road trip buddy! ;)

C. S. Lewis explained God’s transforming power this way: “Imagine yourself as a living house. God comes in to rebuild that house. At first, perhaps, you can understand what He is doing. He is getting the drains right and stopping the leaks in the roof and so on; you knew that those jobs needed doing and so you are not surprised. He intends to come and live in it Himself.” Because of our Savior’s atoning sacrifice, we can be made equal to the tasks that lie ahead." -Michelle D. Craig. The cleansing power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ is so real! He can make us into the people that HE knows we can become. Sometimes in life it can be easy to settle for less, but the Lord knows who we can become and he will do whatever He can to get us there! :)
